Gary has been doing woodturning for the past 25 years. He started woodturning by working with architect Joe Campeau. His work is one-of-a-kind, using exotic and domestic woods including walnut, red oak, maple, padauk, cocobolo and blood wood. Although most of his ornaments are round, some can be pear shaped or have their own unique shape and design. The ornaments are all turned on a lathe and feature inlays of brass and turquoise. His work can be seen in pirvate collections as well as at the Moose Horn Gallery in Emigrant, Montana and at Planet Bronze in Bozeman, Montana. He also makes kaleidoscopes, pepper mills and marble games. Gary has resided in Helena for 43 years and grew in in Flaxville, Montana. He can be reached at (406) 442-4957.
